They need to be registered at Class 2, they need to be able to do site inspections.
They need to be able to do 37 hour / 5 days a week
Must have full driving license, access to a car and business use car insurance
Responsibilities:
- Review plans for a diverse range of construction projects.
- Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations.
- Provide Building Control advice through various channels (phone, email, in person).
- Inspect dangerous structures during regular working hours.
- Participate in the out-of-hours dangerous structures rota.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and correspondence.
- Support the training of Trainee and Assistant Surveyors.
- Assist the Principal Surveyor and Head of Building Control with additional team duties.
Required Skills:
- Degree in construction or equivalent qualification, preferably with a Band C Building Control Surveyor Registration (BSR) qualification.
- Full corporate membership status with a recognized professional body such as RICS, CABE, or CIOB.
- Minimum of seven years’ experience in Building Control.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Eagerness to learn and develop both soft and technical skills.
- Strong team player with a sense of responsibility.
