This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our lively, passionate, and welcoming team for up to 6 months. The role will provide additional capacity whilst the service completes a restructure. The post holder will support the Safer Lambeth Community Safety Partnership make evidence based decisions including Lambeth made Safer, the borough’s ambitious long term plan to tackle youth violence and reduce the harm it causes.

The post holder will work with senior officers, community members, elected members and third sector groups to produce analytical products and monitoring dashboards for key performance indicators. The role will source, collect, and analyse crime and other relevant data from a range of agencies relating to community safety and public protection in the London Borough of Lambeth on behalf of the Safer Lambeth Partnership (Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership). The data will be used to make informed recommendations to senior managers about the development of strategy in relation to crime and disorder reduction and public protection and informed decisions about the tasking and deployment of resources.

Key deliverables will include;

• To act as the lead officer to support the Safer Lambeth Partnership with data collection, data monitoring techniques and systems.

• To produce performance monitoring dashboards for Safer Lambeth Executive an Lambeth Made Safer Strategy boards to monitor trends in crimes and programme delivery

• Produce a strategic assessment to inform the ongoing priorities of Safer Lambeth Partnership strategy.

• Provide the evidence base for the development of Lambeth Made Safer commissioning framework and interventions catalogue based on key gaps in service provision.

• Lead on the creation of an outcome framework to evaluate the evaluation of the delivery of Lambeth Made Safer programme.

• Support our gang violence reduction activity with intelligence products as required.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, with previous experience of community safety / crime analysis. the ability use tools such as Power BI,(or equivalent BI applications), Excel and Mapping software. Existing MPS vetting would be highly desirable to enable quick access to data.
