- Looking for additional locum support to provide advice for Education, Health and Care needs assessments.
- The post holder will be accountable to the Principal and/or Deputy Educational Psychologist and suitable IT equipment will be provided.
- The candidate is also welcome to attend any virtual CPD and team meetings which happen on a monthly basis and informal support and supervision will be provided on a needs-led basis.
Job Purpose
- To provide interim support to the Educational Psychology Service during a period of transition from the current PEP post holder, and for a period of time into the new term.
- To liaise, and work closely with the current PEP, and Senior EP’s to ensure a smooth transition.
- To provide management and supervision to Educational Psychologists and Trainee Educational Psychologists to ensure high quality and effective service delivery
- To work with the Early Help Managers and Principal Officer for Health and Well-being on the strategic development of Children, Families and Community Health services
- To plan to ensure that the Educational Psychology Service (EPS) supports the Local Authority (LA) in meeting its statutory responsibilities for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)
- Lead on the delivery and further development of traded services
- To represent the service and the LA at SEND forums and participate in and influence SEND strategy and developments
- To fulfil the role of an educational psychologist to children, young people and families and those who support them.
