To lead the council’s Economic Development service, driving the delivery of growth, inward investment, skills, culture and digital inclusion outcomes for residents and businesses across the borough.
This role will be responsible for ensuring that the council’s approach to growth reflects delivery of the administration’s priorities and also makes sense within the context of wider economic, social, technological and environmental change.
The role will involve leading and inspiring a high performing and motivated team to deliver tangible change at pace in the borough that benefits everyone, builds economic resilience and boosts productivity amongst all communities no matter their background or circumstances.
The post holder will be credible, creative, self-motivated, and with a track record of working effectively with a wide variety of council teams, national and regional agencies, developers and businesses of all sizes.
