  • This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR generalist to make a real difference and you will be responsible for supporting and enabling managers to respond to ever changing needs and provide integrated advice on HR and OD issues as varied as organisational change, culture, resourcing, performance management and managing employee relations.

As HR Services Lead HR /Business Partner:

  • The post holder will be hybrid working from both office and home with expected on-site presence.
  • Ideal candidate must be highly motivated to lead and develop a HRBP team with previous experience of working in local authority or similar public sector is desirable but not essential.
  • The ideal candidate will need to hit the ground running and understand business needs and initiatives to support the delivery of our business objectives to support our Corporate Plan.
  • As an accomplished HR professional, you will need to build positive working relationships, within the HRBP team, as well as coaching and supporting the wider organisation.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, is essential.
  • Working in partnership with senior managers and unions, you will focus on key objectives by prioritising customer demands and solution focused.
  • You will be working closely with unions and senior leadership teams to support the strategic priorities of the variety of directorate areas and forge strong relationships at all levels, internally and with our stakeholders.
  • CIPD qualified to Level 7 or equivalent demonstrable experience you will have line management experience and/or proven experience of coaching others for results.
  • Alongside wide-ranging and up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation you will bring to the role proven experience of providing professional, expert advice and guidance on all HR and OD issues.
  • Highly skilled in providing business focused solutions, your track record ideally includes change management, partnership working and organisational development.
  • An excellent communicator, you will be adept at collaborative working and coaching managers to drive organisational efficiency and improve service delivery to our customers.
