Please note this role is for a Quality Assurance Manager and you will need to be an experienced manager and possess a strong inquisitive approach to understanding and analysing information from a range of sources to identify where practice needs to be strengthened. We want someone who knows ‘what good looks like’ and is able to lead a team and support the delivery of good social work practice. You will need to be an excellent communicator and have a collaborative approach to working with operational service areas and partner agencies. You will need to have strong evidence-based report writing skills and understand how quality assurance activity can be the driver of improving outcomes for children, young people and their families.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to be involved in the early development stage of a team adopting a new way of working. You will work closely with the other Quality Assurance Manager and be responsible for the oversight and management of a team of experienced social workers chairing Child Protection Conferences, Looked After Children Reviews, Annual Foster Carer Reviews and undertaking Reg 44 visits. You will be supporting the development, training and implementation of a new strengths based approach for this service which will be flexible and responsive to the needs of the child which will also include a range of ‘meetings’ such as Family Group Conferences.
You will also oversee the quality assurance framework which will include the children’s services audit program, case reviews and feedback from children and their families. You will manage the contribution to SCPRs (SCRs), DHRs and the quality assurance of subject access to records. There will be opportunities for co production with children and their families in the development of this new service.
