- To support and coordinate on casework, attending Annual Reviews (if applicable) and school meetings for children and young people where there are concerns and potential school breakdown.
- To liaise with other professionals to ascertain children’s needs. As well as ensuring that all pupils with special educational needs are appropriately placed and supported in accordance with panel decisions.
- To amend EHCPs in accordance with the decisions as above.
- At all times, to promote and safeguard the welfare of children who live or access services in, or who are looked after by the Council.
- Lead a cohort of case officers responsible for the assessment or annual review process, timeliness, and quality of outcomes.
- Will also be given specific strategic responsibilities in line with the needs of the authority to support the Team Manager.
- May also lead way forward meetings and attend pre-mediation meetings to support decisions.
- No line management requirement – but supporting colleagues with complex case management, particularly in secondary and post 16 sector.
