- Lead on the development and implementation of the Borough’s Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG) Strategy that includes: All Domestic Abuse, irrespective of gender, Honour Based Violence, Forced Marriage, Female Genital Mutilation, Exploitation including Modern Slavery, Sexual Exploitation (Child and Adult).
- Ensure that the recommendations of local Domestic Homicide Reviews (DHRs), and that the findings of Home Office Reviews into Domestic Homicide are at the forefront of the councils approach to tackling VAWG and DA.
- Lead on the production of a comprehensive needs assessment, service mapping and commissioning in respect of VAWG and DA.
- Develop the partnership approaches to the prevention of violence against women and girls and domestic abuse and the provision of services across statutory and other agencies for victims (survivors).
- Develop the partnership approach to the tackling of offenders from prevention through to pursuit through the Criminal Justice Systems.
- To co-ordinate and lead on the delivery of a range of complex projects and initiatives including events, aimed at tackling VAWG and DA in order to address the priorities outlined in the councils domestic abuse and VAWG strategy.
- Lead on the Domestic Abuse Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) Steering Group to quality assurance domestic abuse case work to drive improvement across the partnership.
