- The Strengthening Practice QA Leads will work closely with and alongside frontline professionals, Independent Chairs, LADOs, and the Audit programme to implement our Practice Learning and the countywide themed audit programme.
- Auditing and inspection readiness work is a crucial part of the Councils Practice Learning Framework, and an important part of the work across our Quality Assurance which is responsible for collating and reporting overall findings from the inspection readiness programme, and making recommendations for improving practice that will, in turn, support improving outcomes for children.
- We are seeking Strengthening Practice Quality Assurance leads who can assist with our inspection readiness and preparation, you will have previous experience of operating at team manager level, with experience of audit and quality assurance activity to be able to work alongside practitioners and managers.
- Live coaching using motivational interviewing techniques, mentoring and auditing will be integral to this role. You will be forensic in your oversight of children’s case files.
- The QA Leads will be non-case holding roles and not have line management responsibility for staff. They will deliver action learning sets and bite sized learning cycles informed by the outcome of Audit and will be able to provide good quality reporting evidencing impact and improving outcomes for children.
- This role will report directly to the Principal Social Work role at the Councils Children Service and will be part of the wider Strengthening Practice Hub.
- As one of Strengthening Practice QA Leads you will be able to recognise, evaluate, and support learning from practice by confidently applying legislation, practice standards, policy, and a strengths-based approach in order to achieve the drive to improve safeguarding services for children and families.
